Job updates

Cleared gorse and scrub from ditch at the right hand side of the practice range. Also cleared the gorse from the right of the 1st fairway.

Shaped the rear of the 16th green to final level which is now ready for turfing.

Continue removing wet thatchy areas from 3rd fairway and also areas at 18th. These are in the process of being filled with rootzone ready for turfing.

Remove old turf from 17th yellow tee. Three lateral drains have been installed to help with drainage. Addedy rootzone and rotavated to mix in with existing top soil.

Finished turfing drain lines on the banking at the back of the 16th green.

All pedestrian mowers set up for height and cut ready to be used as and when required.

Completed painting of bunker take shafts and these are now back in the bunkers.

Repaired worn patch on the 16th approach just in front of the green.

Transplanted trees from the left of the 18th green. One has been put in at the 15th and another at the wall between the 2nd and 4th. There are also more trees to be planted on other areas of the course.

Levelled out pile of waste in railway area and tidied the blaize path that runs through.

With the weather being very good lately it is great to be able to have the summer greens back in play this weekend. Long may this weather continue.

The pictures show the drains being installed on the 17th tee, some of the rotavating work and also the wye thatchy areas on some fairways being removed.

The last picture shows the flag back on the summer green at 17!!
